It's easy over a "coffee" to say what you would have done...what he shoulda done. But you were not there holding on to a huge monster high on pot, wrestling with your gun. It's life or death, what are you gonna do. Thats how it went down it was not planned, he pulled up in front of them and a struggle began before he got out of the car.
i work for a mental health unit with 2 police officers we deal with people who have drug and mental health issues.
at times over the last 10 years we have "taken down" some large drug affected men, mainly "ice" these days which is epidemic here, and let me tell you even with three of us it is a huge struggle.
sometimes back up is needed or mace spray which is aweful stuff!

Sometimes back up is needed or Mace spray which is aweful stuff! Cant stand it. {Aussie cops dont have Tasers} You only have seconds to make decisions which can get you seriously hurt, or even killed. I have been injured dozens of times...have a shoulder injury from Monday. So do many officers I worked with. Thankfully guns have never been used. I know all the officers in my city and have respect for the difficult and unthankful job they have. NONE of the 30-40 Cops I have worked with are bad guys who want a fight. They just want to get home to their families at the end of the day. One of the guys I worked with has two hearing aids after getting punched in the head by a guy on L.S.D. He has dizzy spells. With all the talk about Michael Brown what the cop should have, could have done, let me tell you....YOU can't put yourself in that position. You don't know what it's like I do. When your blood is pumping and your life in danger it's almost like a sick nightmare. It's a huge "rush" and your very glad when it's over, a huge relief and lots of pats on the back. A lone officer against a larger drug affected man is in huge danger and every second counts. I love my job but it is stressful and takes a toll. Also many officers come down with Post trumatic Stress. I have nothing but respect for these guys. Thanks to all Police officers on duty to keep the streets safe.
after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .
I saw the shocking footage yesterday of Michael Brown high on pot stealing the cigars and assaulting the small clerk by pushing him into shelves and threatening and standing over him 3 TIMES. The clerk did not call the police out of fear but a customer did. Now his father says "My son respected law enforcement..." I guess he did not see this footage or his son does not respect clerks! If Michael continued with this attitude with the police is it any wonder he got shot. I hate people saying "He was a lovely family guy who loved his friends...gentle giant..." I bet he was but from the footage not on that night.
ray franz is really encouraging, and his experience really proves how destructive the borg.
just got my hands on combating cult mind control....i gotta admit: its not an easy read like cofc.
i intend to finish, anyone here who has read the book?
Both his books are awesome...are you a big key and peele fan? Red falcon out..

By stealing the cigars this young man set in motion his own death and is resposible for it and the current riots. What right does he have to steal? Who's going to believe the testamony of thieves who asaulted a store clerk? Do you think he had agressive behaviour that night? He was not walking home from the Kingdom hall. Looting and destroying property...what a good way to protest this "crime." Discusting.
it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.
i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.
.
Why would so many women in dependant of each other do this. He did it.
interesting case!.
